Sasha Gacsal at large +Icarus

I dont think he is modeling much anymore but anyone truthfully remembers him?

At one point. He was featured in the Teen Vogue Casting Call blog which had so many models from big shots now to retirees.

Here is him at John Varvatos Fall 2006.

Lustful and vampire theme no?
He had an amazing jawline. They dont come around like that often. The last person with a good jawline was Brad Kroenig.

And finally song for the summer music series

Clean Cut, Love, Vogue UK

So I realized that this spring and summer is off to a late start but I am loving what im seeing on the streets and in editorials so far.

The clean cuts, the linen and the tailoring. Oh gosh it feels so good again.

A specific linen pants by Juicy Couture, Im buying in a few weeks is a great indicator, pics are coming soon because it is just so great for that weekend getaway and ultimate chic.

This editorial in Vogue for this May is a great example of that.
The model is the lovely Karmen Pedaru of NEXT (is she still with next?). Effortless, indeed.

I love the combo of a such a great silhouette dress with a moto jacket.

A great color of these beautiful crisp lines is white. But lately blacks and red has been making an appearance.

Freja Thank you. Love, Interview Mag.

Freja Beha Erichsen in another editorial. This time for Interview Magazine, with a male model, dont remember his name.

Interview Magazine May 2011

But again, she looks amazing and photographs well. She brings such energy and presence no?

And isnt the dress gorgeous? I like the transition from the decolletage to the bottom of the gown. So much detail on this, its perfection. The lines are so clean and the material looks like chiffon and somethings.

I would love to see what she wore to the Met Gala, if she went. I gotta find it.

Supermodel and all. She is legendary.

This is the cover of Vogue Mexico in May 2011

Wearing a gorgeous Burberry Prorsum Jacket.

But whoever did the hair, great great job. I love the style and the way its very smooth.

Conference on Health~ Fashion Referendum

Last night was the CFDA panel discussion on health in the modeling industry, entitled "The Beauty of Health: Resizing The Sample Size". Apparently more designers, casting agents, models, and editors are calling for a change on the take of the runway.

They seem to be tired of pre-pubescent looking girls, who may still play with barbies or are experiencing a bout of acne, to a minimal age of 17 to 19 years old required to walk the catwalk.

I for one, agree. This girls from a young age are molded into robots and how designers and the people in the industry want them to look. They may say you look great but need to lose a few pounds. Then what happens after those few pounds, you'll look like a stick that break at any minute. The pressure given to young girls, who the runways go as young as 13 or 14 i believe, is tremendous. They binge, get drunk, or take drugs because they are not receiving the proper guidance to survive in this cutthroat industry.

The effort to reform the industry has to include all involved in the industry.

In order for fashion to continue and to have models, who are highly deemed a beacon of hope for designers to wear the clothes and strut their stuff down that catwalk with magic, reform and good health is needed.

Water not wine.
Salad not diet coke & lettuce
Real not fake and plastic.

This was a very good forum and very informative. I hope the message is loud and clear.
